NAAD Women

NAAD Women

“Soon we saw that money going to women brought much more benefit to the family than money going to the men. So, we changed our policy and gave a high priority to women. As a result, now 75% of our four million beneficiaries are women”.

NAAD Women in Agriculture

The Nigerian agricultural sector is characterized by persistent inequalities in access to and control over resources and thus undermines a sustainable and inclusive development of the sector. NAAD Women believes that understanding the roles of women in agriculture and planning programmers’ relevant to their roles and needs is a prerequisite for the success of agricultural development programmes. After all, women remain the direct agents of rural economic development and therefore agriculture.
